Hohengasthaus Haldenhof in Uberlingen

A great view, with many hiking trails! The inn offers the usual for hikers, but you can also eat in the restaurant! You can combine a detour from the Haldenhof to the Hohenfels ruins!

Planned visit on Sunday, October 18, 2020 Although the place was empty, we were not offered a table for two people. All tables are reserved. After that, our backs would be turned to us without a word.

The food was very good, the corona regulations are unfortunately not followed, there were no slips of paper to fill out, only in the middle of the passage (staff with food and drinks as well as guests) there was a table for handing over the slips of paper. The location is indescribably beautiful, the view over Lake Constance is unique. The organization of the service staff leaves a lot to be desired, there is no fixed allocation of tables, you order from one waitress, the next one brings the drinks, another the food and if you want to pay it all at once says that this is not my table . This table change is very questionable, especially in Corona times. Otherwise I can highly recommend the restaurant, I would eat here again at any time, the game dishes were very good. Anyone who expects 5 stars in a mountain inn, as is probably the case in some reviews, is out of place here (see photo on the menu)

Went there to eat yesterday on recommendation. Food was way overpriced and tasted underground. After discussing it with the boss, I was waived the price, which I expected. Still not recommended. I give one star for the beautiful view of Lake Constance.

We hiked before and enjoyed the great view of Lake Constance from the beer garden. The food was tasty and the crowd was hard to manage, and the cake was top notch too.

We love this place, the view, the great terrace and the outside area. The service was good, but unfortunately not all the waiters were what I would like as a guest to be. The food was passable and quickly ready for the large number of guests. More like quantity than quality. Still great to stay up there

Here you can really switch off from everyday life. After a nice hike through Sipplingen, relax and enjoy a delicious meal with the most beautiful view. The last time I was there, another Elvis imitator came, I really believed I was in heaven. Just beautiful! 👍😍

I thought I had already rated this amazing restaurant ... but good ... so all thumbs up !!! Great service ... great cuisine and a location like a painting! The view can hardly be described in words ... MY STATE ROOM at least 2 times a year in the future (on vacation) ... please don't change ... you are exactly RIGHT! The place is nice. Nice view of Lake Constance. Good for hiking. The restaurant itself is a sure-fire success. Many tourists. But the food is not great. Just under average but not cheap. For me only go to drink.

We were there as a group with 2 small children. First of all: as everywhere, you have to reserve in advance. But that's not a problem at all. Everything worked out great. Location: the restaurant is beautifully situated above Lake Constance (above Sipplingen or Ludwigshafen. You have a fantastic view over the lake (towards Konstanz). Restaurant: next to the building there is a huge beer garden - absolutely optimal with regard to Corona, as all distances can be perfectly maintained. In the restaurant itself, the tables are also sufficiently spaced apart. Disinfectants are also available everywhere. Eating: Eating is a subjective feeling. We were all very excited .. only the salmon with spinach was not well received. The salmon was a bit dry and the spinach was more like frozen spinach than fresh. But that was the only flaw. The price-performance ratio is absolutely okay and the selection is huge - if you can't find anything here, you will be spoiled :-) :-) Staff: very friendly and courteous. People like to give a good tip here. Conclusion: absolutely recommendable! Personal recommendation: Maultaschen with bacon and onions. :-)

Very pleasant stay after a long hike from Überlingen on the path "Nature that inspires"

Unfortunately one of the most popular restaurants has slacked off ... No waiter who understands German ... Breakfast until 10 o'clock .. Unfortunately, you can't eat much at lunchtime ... It wasn't like that before ... View bomb!

A great view of Lake Constance. Very nice beer garden. Lots of seats. And what is really great, there are a lot of sun loungers and seats to just enjoy the view. The food is good .... we had a salad with trout. I hope the chef ran out of salad 🙄 because given the price and the amount, it's almost outrageous. We thought about whether we should order a schnitzel with french fries to at least get full.

Totally chilled, nice courteous staff. Absolutely mega, the food.

After an hour of waiting no food received, ordered salad also not received. No communication from the staff, no apology. Absolutely unprofessional and not recommended. Due to the large number of tourists, the operator does not seem to have to look after his guests appropriately.

The way there through the forest is very nice, even if everything goes uphill. Once at the top you have a great view!

No attention to mouth-nose protection among waiters, below the nose. Food carelessly presented. Only potatoes and meat on the plate. Not a single leaf of lettuce. Salad can be bought for € 3.50. I have never seen such a loveless salad. Dirty menus. Price-performance ratio is not correct at all. Way too expensive. The service is friendly, but seems to work at the limit. You can only recommend the view.

The visit is worth it for the view alone. There are tables with a direct view of the lake / mountains in the surrounding area. The food and service are mediocre. Everything went very quickly.

One of the best places in the region. Beautiful mountain and lake viewes, quite forest paths, good food and draft beer, while enjoying mountain and lake viewes. Was cool.

Very nice inn with very good German cuisine. We always like to come back here. It is very popular with day tourists and hikers, so it is often very crowded. The view of Lake Constance is unique. Very nice location.
